How can raiseaconcern.com help employers?

We will set up your whistleblowing scheme from scratch or refresh it to meet the requirements of the  Protected Disclosures Act 2014.  We will then manage the scheme for you.

We advise employers on set up; we draft policies and procedures and we help launch the scheme.

We addresses the overarching problem of all whistleblowing schemes - the fear by employees of disclosing their identity and, as a result, being labelled and suffering reprisal. We do this by separating the concern from the concerned employee.  We act as a 'go between', a trusted intermediary between employee and employer.  We protect the employee’s identity.  But we facilitate communication between the parties to elicit all necessary information to investigate the concern.  We channel updates to the employee while their concern is being investigated and provide feedback when the investigation is completed.  This gives the employee assurance on how their concern was addressed.

Concerns can be raised by employees 24/7, safely and securely on a dedicated employer portal on our website. If employees prefer, they can use registered post.

We provide a telephone helpline between 8.00am and 10.00pm Monday to Saturday where your employees can seek information and guidance.

We manage all communication and record keeping and collect valuable feedback from our database.  Boards and Senior Management receive detailed Management Information on the operation of their scheme and statistics to help compare with industry averages.

Directors can be assured that they are meeting their governance responsibilities while their organisation reaps the benefits of having a whistleblowing scheme that actually works.  And all of this comes without building a large and expensive administrative infrastructure.

Where it is not appropriate for employers to investigate reported wrongdoing or where they do not have the resources or expertise to do so, Raiseaconcern Investigates can provide this service.

Management will not have to divert scarce resources or increase headcount to comply with the legislation and to do this specialist, sensitive and sometimes unattractive work - the professionals at Raiseaconcern.com will do it for them.

Finally, in the unlikely event that the identity of an employee who raises a concern is subsequently figured out by colleagues or others and they are victimised or penalised as a result, Raiseaconcern.com will provide them with information and guidance on invoking the protections of the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 or otherwise claiming redress under their employer's Policy on Raising Concerns (Whistleblowing Policy).

Where employers use our service, Protected Disclosures raised with us qualify for protection under the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 as if they had been made directly to the employer.
